This course examines the key conceptual frameworks and selected case studies in global environment and sustainable development.

Learning Goals
Students can expect to:
1. Possess a broad understanding of sustainable development issues and international relations with special emphasis on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
2. Be familiar with strengths and limitations of multilateral environmental agreements on various issues, including acid rain, ozone layer depletion, climate change, biodiversity, deforestation, desertification, water, oceans, and toxic materials; and
3. Effectively apply analytical skills to critically evaluate various solutions for multiple stakeholders, such as international organizations and state actors, business and industry, civil society organizations, and academia.
